Are you caring for a baby or toddler on a Thursday morning and would you like friendship, a cup of tea and somewhere for your child to play? We also provide a craft activity, a story and songs. If so, please come and try Oasis in St Mary’s Church from 10am – 11.30am on Thursdays. We will be looking out for you and you will be made welcome.
On Thursday 15 October at 7pm, at the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week, we invite you to join us for a reflective service to remember and honour tiny lives lost too soon.
This service is for anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy, at birth or in the early years, whether recently or many years ago. It is also a space for those who grieve the loss of the hope of having a child.
Whether you are a bereaved parent, family member or friend, all who have been touched by pregnancy or baby loss are warmly welcome.
There will be space to reflect and to light a candle in memory and remembrance, joining with others in a wave of light around the world.
A gentle space to remember, to grieve, and to stand together.
A special service of remembrance for those who have been bereaved. It will include hymns led by the choir, readings and prayers. There will be an opportunity to light a candle in memory of loved ones and refreshments will follow.
No gardening expertise required - just enthusiasm! Come along and muck in for a couple of hours.
Join us in our Act of Remembrance as we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in all wars. Two minutes silence will be observed at 11am.

After over five years of fundraising, we are delighted to be undertaking our bell restoration project. All eight bells have been taken away from the church for tuning and will be returned with new fittings for re-installation mid-October. During this period, there will be no bell present for the hourly clock chime. In addition, it has been necessary to remove the mechanism that drives the four clock faces on the tower as it blocks the access to the bells. Everything will be returned to normal after the bells have been replaced in the tower.
